UBMicro’s Mission
UBMicro IT Support Services is a division of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Buffalo (UB).
Our core customers are UB researchers, faculty, staff, students and affiliated organizations. We are also partners with
other State University of New York and higher education schools and with local public agencies throughout the state.
UBMicro’s mission is to provide quality procurement and post-sales product support. This includes, but is not limited
to analyzing a customer’s needs and developing technical requirements, assisting in the preparation of Requests for
Quotations (RFQs), and configuring integrated solutions to meet customer needs.
We offer a wide array of computers, business utilities, powerful scientific software, educational software, and quality
peripherals. We can also custom order thousands of other products directly from manufacturers and national
wholesale distributors.
As a higher education and value added reseller, we have direct contact with industry leaders such as Adobe, Apple,
Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and Sony. This partnership enables us to offer products at significant discounts, often
times hundreds of dollars less than local and Internet retailers.
Our staff consists of IT professionals trained to listen and help you make an informed buying decision. We will assist
you in selecting products of good value and compatible with your IT standards.
