Accidental Damage
All the computers offered by UBMicro are name-brand products of good value and recognized quality. All systems meet campus
workstation and network standards and come network access ready with extended warranties. To enhance reliability, they are
built with industry standard components backed by warranties from viable manufacturers. UB2020 designated units are the gold
standard. They have been configured by campus information technology (IT) professionals to meet most institutional and personal
computing needs over four years time. The special pricing made available is the result of volume and aggregate procurement
agreements negotiated for the campus community.
Extended Warranties. Warranties provide a safety net to protect
you from extraordinary expense. To strengthen this net, all UBMicro warranties have been extended from the standard 1 year to 3 or 4
years coverage, and with some upgraded from depot (carry-in) to include on-site service. In addition, Accidental Damage Protection has
been added to our notebook computers (see below). As an authorized manufacturer warranty service provider, these services are conveniently
available on-campus through UBMicro. While at home during holidays and semester breaks, warranty coverage is available through an
authorized nation-wide service provider network.

services and expedited repairs to minimize disruption to academic pursuits.
Accidental Damage Protection. With the growing popularity of notebook
computers, this type of non-warranty repair is becoming more frequent. Accidental Damage Protection covers cracked or broken screens damaged
from drops, liquid spills onto keyboards and other accidental damage. This is a valuable warranty that makes notebook usage even more
practical, especially in a campus environment. To include this protection with all our computers, we have negotiated accidental damage
coverage from WaCA, an established solution provider and member of the Ingram Micro national service provider network. As with our extended
warranty services, this ensures that accidental damage service is available to you on campus or at home in all 50 states.
