Microsoft Campus Agreement |
|
For All UB Faculty, Staff and Students The Microsoft Productivity Toolkit is being made available through the iConnect@UB program sponsored by the University at Buffalo Office of the Chief Information Officer. UB faculty, staff, and students (both full and part-time) are eligible. To be eligible, faculty and staff must be employed by the state, UB Foundation, Research Foundation, Faculty Student Association, or the Practice Plans, or have Geographic Full Time Faculty status. Faculty and staff with only voluntary appointments and students who have waived their comprehensive fee are not eligible. The software may be used with computers located in UB offices or labs. Faculty and staff are eligible, while employed by UB, to install all current titles on personally owned computers for academic purposes only. Faculty and staff leaving the university are required to remove all Microsoft products installed on personally owned computers that was obtained under the campus agreement. Graduating students retain perpetual use of the software provided they sign a License Confirmation Agreement prior to leaving UB. You must present a current UB ID Card with person number clearly printed on it to pick up software.* How Do I Get the Software? Faculty and staff have two options:
Students: UB Students can pick up one personal copy of each available title from UBMicro. Click here to view all available titles. Is There Any Cost to Me? Microsoft products have a nominal media fee. Click Here for a list of the products and fees. Distribution and Lending Sites UBMicro Campus Computer Store Copies of the software may be borrowed or purchased from UBMicro. All faculty, staff, and students will be required to present a current UB Card with person number clearly printed on it to pick up software.* UBMicro, located in the Commons in the North Campus, is UB's not-for-profit computer store. Normal business hours are 10 am to 5 pm weekdays and until 6pm on Wednesdays.
