SoftCare Pro
Software problems are the bane of every computer owner and the most likely repair you will encounter. Whether caused by
equipment failures, a virus or malicious intruder, remediating software problems can be perplexing, time consuming and
costly. And to the surprise of most computer owners, equipment warranties do not cover the operating system software or
restoration of the operating system and other software after hard drive repairs or replacement.
SoftCare Pro is a software protection plan similar to warranty and accidental care plans. Available only from UBMicro,
SoftCare Pro helps to ensure that software problems are resolved quickly, easily and without extraordinary expense. Just
as important, SoftCare Pro reduces repair costs and enables you to budget for your time at UB.
To provide you maximum flexibility, SoftCare Pro works like a debit card. You are credited with twenty tokens that can be
applied to software remediation, restoration, update and data recovery services as needed. You may use the tokens for one
or more services and are not limited as to the number of service incidents.

Should you leave the University without using
any tokens, you may be eligible to receive a partial refund on the SoftCare Pro card. If more tokens are desired, you can
add them at a significant saving over the standard labor rate. The chart to the right provides a sampling of SoftCare
services. The rates shown do not include sales tax. Customer is responsible for paying the sales tax for services rendered
at the time of token redemption.
